Celebrating Amelia Earhart

Celebrating Amelia Earhart
Amelia Earhart said it best. A “shero” for the ages who reminds us each day to thwart expectation and reach for our wildest dreams. She was born on July 24, 1897 in Atchison, Kansas and would be 126 this year. A globally recognized pioneer in aviation, she developed a taste for the sky at an early age and was the first woman to complete a non-stop solo transatlantic flight in 1932. Amelia went on to set five (or even more!) world records for flying speed and distance between the years 1930 and 1935. She supported women's rights and wasn’t shy about voicing her opinion.

Today we celebrate Amelia; her courageous spirit, independence, and unwillingness to take no for an answer. Here are a few more Amelia-isms that inspire us to be the pilot of our own aspirations.

"Everyone has oceans to fly, if they have the heart to do it. Is it reckless? Maybe. But what do dreams know of boundaries?"
