Gold vermeil (pronounced: vermay) is the official name for a heavy gold electroplating over a base of sterling silver. A minimum thickness of 2.5 microns of gold must be deposited before it can be marked or sold as Vermeil.

I am in love with this bracelet. Have it in both vermeil and sterling silver. It is amazing enough without any charms on it to be worn as a bracelet on its own or in a stack. I pair with my watch (both colors) with or without charms. Ingenious way to wear charms! Bought the necklace, too. Love changing out my charms; so easy.

So far I have had this bracelet for a few weeks and have worn it everyday without it tarnishing or the links weakening.
