We offer a quality range of products that are destination-specific, youthful and stylish, cheeky and unpredictable and modern, yet nostalgic. Designed for travel lovers globally, the JSC brand echoes exciting, wanderlust ambitions and the opportunity to ‘wear where you’ve been, or where you’re going’ and ‘collect your adventures.’ If you’re passionate about travel, fashion, and customer service then this might be the perfect position for you.

There are a number of part-time and full-time sales positions currently available in our Grand Central Terminal store.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Meet and interact with customers; demonstrate an enthusiastic and positive attitude
  • Thrive in a busy teamwork environment and multi- task between customers as required
  • Ability to educate customers about the brand
  • Communicate any relevant promotions to customers
  • Report and handle accurate transactions, issue receipts and pack merchandise
  • Manage any issues with a minimum of fuss
  • Ensure customer service standards are met in accordance with Jet Set Candy’s customer service guidelines
  • Aim to achieve established monthly sales targets
  • Help to ensure inventory is appropriate and replenished to maximize selling
  • Maintain and clean displays
  • Ensure product presentation and visual standards are in accordance with the Jet Set Candy brand

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School graduate or equivalent
  • Preferably 2–3 years of retail sales or comparable customer service experience

An exciting role has opened up in our Grand Central Terminal store for an experienced and self-driven retail store manager with a passion for sales and customer service. This person is responsible for ensuring the smooth running of a retail store and that monthly sales targets are met.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Operations

  • Maintain a store budget and operations snapshot
  • Execute safety and security checks to prevent loss and guarantee employee and customer safety
  • Have a working knowledge and oversee use of all company systems
  • Unpack incoming merchandise and label and store as required
  • Ensure the store is tidy and organized at all times
  • Carry out a monthly stocktake
  • Communicate any internal and external issues with management immediately

People

  • Manage staff hours and roster according to store needs
  • Recruit and train sales associates as required in accordance with Jet Set Candy’s customer care guidelines
  • Foster a positive and exciting work environment with transparent communication

Customer Service

  • Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of displays
  • Ensure product presentation and visual standards are in accordance with the Jet Set Candy brand
  • Ensure and follow up on all activities relating to current campaigns, promotions and sales activities

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School graduate or equivalent
  • Preferably 2–3 years of retail management experience or comparable experience

COMPETENCIES

  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Clearly communicate goals, information and expectations to staff
  • Work autonomously and make sound decisions
  • Proven ability to multi-task in a fast pace environment
  • Ability to manage and solve issues with a minimum of fuss

  • High level of energy and positive attitude
  • Results orientated
  • Must be willing to work evenings and weekends
